Todd and Hugh formed Rooted Retrofitting after many years of working on projects together. After meeting while working for PaineWebber Financial Services they Co-Founded of Eco Green Renovation. Hugh’s vast knowledge of construction and Todd's construction management and passion for construction restoration lead them to developing Rooted Retrofitting. The earthquake drought that we have been in for the last three decades is something that we consider a major issue. We feel that retrofitting of homes and building is very important if we want to save the history of the bay area, so we decided to focus on seismic (earthquake) retrofitting.

Todd showed us the current code for new construction using very large bracing designed exactly for preventing a house from slipping off of its foundation.
